Almanarre Wind & Wave was not born in an office or a design studio, but on a wind-swept parking lot, facing the sea. Where the sand still sticks to your skin after a session, where boards pile up and discussions stretch until sunset. It was in the parking lot of the Almanarre beach kitesurfing spot that it all began.

We grew up here. Amidst the gusts of wind, days spent in the water, and moments shared with our friends. This place wasn't just a beach; it was a way of life, an energy, a freedom difficult to explain but impossible to forget. For a long time, we searched for clothes that could truly reflect this world. Something simple, authentic, that resembled what we experienced every day. But nothing quite matched. So, without a precise plan, almost instinctively, we decided to create them ourselves.

At first, it was low-key. Three t-shirts, one hoodie. Nothing more. Pieces designed for us, for our friends, for our everyday lives. We shared a few pictures, a few videos, without expecting much. And then, little by little, messages started coming in. People asked where to buy them, how to find them. Without really realizing what was happening, we ordered a first stock. And we started selling, simply, from the trunk of our car. Always in the same spot. In that parking lot, facing Almanarre, facing the sea. That's where the brand came to life, amidst conversations, laughter, and our surfing sessions.

Seasons pass, summers come and go, and something grows. What was once just an idea becomes a certainty. Then comes the time to take a step forward. To open a shop. But never alone. Always surrounded by those who were there from the beginning.

There are six of them, settled in a small apartment in La Capte, a few steps from the shop. They live together, work together, build together. Each finds their place, each contributes their part. Sales, design, communication, events. Everything is done together, with the same desire, the same vision. And without really realizing it, they are not just creating a brand. They are building an adventure. A project that goes beyond clothes, a project that speaks of friendship, freedom and shared dreams.

Over time, the brand evolves, grows, and asserts itself. Almanarre Clothing becomes Almanarre Wind & Wave. The name changes, but the essence remains intact. The sea, the wind, the sun, that feeling of freedom that cannot be explained but is immediately felt. Simply, something becomes clearer. The brand becomes more mature, more confident, more rooted. Collections gain depth, cuts become more precise, pieces more timeless. The idea is always the same: to create clothing inspired by board sports, but designed to be worn everywhere, from the seaside to the city.

Every detail counts now. The materials, the finishes, the production choices. The collections are manufactured in Europe, in Portugal, with the desire to do better, to be more responsible, without ever betraying the original DNA. Meanwhile, the brand continues to expand. New boutiques open in Sanary and Hyères. The website is growing, and orders are increasing in France and Europe. But despite this evolution, something doesn't change.

Almanarre Wind & Wave remains deeply faithful to its origins. To this beach. To these simple beginnings. To this desire to create something meaningful.

Because ultimately, the brand doesn't just tell the story of L'Almanarre. It tells an adventure, an idea. The idea that things can start simply, almost insignificantly, and become much bigger than what was imagined. That a project born among friends, in their twenties, without a perfect strategy or huge resources, can turn into a real brand.
